Top London tourist attraction Madame Tussauds has confirmed that in light of this week’s announcement by The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, it has moved its figures of the former Royal couple out into the back yard next to the skips beside the melting furnace.

A Tussaud’s spokesman denied that they had demonstrated a quick rush to judgement: ‘We were as surprised as everyone else that Harry and Meghan have made this decision, nevertheless we felt it was only right to remove them from the Royal Tableau following an irate call from an elderly and very posh gentleman who swore a lot and told us there’d be fu**ing trouble if we didn’t.’

It’s understood however that in time if Harry and Meghan so desire, and on payment of an annual fee of £20,000 each, they can have their effigies reinstated to Tussaud’s Royal Pavilion; perhaps somewhere close to those Edward VII and Wallis Simpson.
